Our Story

Hi, I’m Brittney, the owner of Oak and Opal Studios.

I've been a hairstylist for 21 years, I've worked in Frisco for 18 of those years. I dreamed of owning a salon because my favorite salons never just felt like workplaces — they felt like family. Creating that kind of space became my vision.

I wanted to love every day where I went to work, and I wanted to feel a part of a community again, instead of just being in a salon suite. I felt inspired to create a fresh salon concept—an all booth-rent environment offering both private suites and open-concept stations, complete with a thoughtfully designed waiting area and shared shampoo space.

One of my large suites is filled with a group of 9 women who all left the same salon to create their own salon. How joyful and empowered they felt was a true gift!

I wanted to have an impact on women's lives, and God gave me a beautiful building and 16 people to steward and love.
